Dora M. Thibos, 64, of 196 Siegel St. died Friday at Community Hospital, where she had been a patient a week.

She was born in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1939. She worked in the credit offices of the former Hazels women's clothing department store and Herp's until she retired in 1981.

She was a member of the Climax-Scotts American Legion Auxiliary and member of the former Dennis-McKeen American Legion Post Auxiliary in Battle Creek. She was past President and represented the American Legion as a third district president and held their offices.

She was also a member and past president of Credit Women International.

She is survived by her husband, Duane L. Thibos; daughter, Teresa Painter of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a son Lynn (Tim) Thibos of Concord, Calif.; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brothers, Carl Moody of Detroit, Herman and James F Moody, both of Battle Creek, and George Moody of Athens; sisters, Nora Cable of Baraga, Frances Ostrander of Tempe, Arizona, and Anne Clark of Los Angeles.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Janet Turpin in 1981.

Services will be at 3:30 pm. Wednesday at Farley Estes Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
