Died at his home, 1144 Douglass St., of Bright's disease. He arrived here from Germany in 1865 and was a carpet weaver.
He was buried in a black suit resting in a solid oak casket with silver bar handles and brass plate with his name and age. The funeral was conducted by Rev. F.K. Huntzinger at the home. Interment was at Aulenbach cemetery.
The preceding was printed in the local newspaper. His death certificate gives Charles Evans as cemetery of burial.
