Jon L. Montgomery, Olathe, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Olathe Medical Center at the age of 67.

Jon was born the son of Doris Crites on Feb. 15, 1949, in Wichita, Kan.

Survivors include his son, Jeremy Montgomery and his wife Guinevere; his daughter, Katie "Tori" Deneault and her husband Kevin; mother, Doris Crites; sister, Dana Holtmeyer and husband Mike; six grandchildren, Jeffery, Christopher, William and Zebediah Montgomery and Oliver and Genevieve Deneault.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Crites.

Jon was a very active and proud member of the Olathe Church of God of Prophecy. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16, both at Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. at the Neodesha Cemetery, Neodesha, Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jon's loving memory to the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI), 3101 Main St., KCMO 64111.
