Luella Aandahl, 90, Bethany Homes, Fargo, died Friday, January 29, 1993. Private family services will be held with burial in Valley City, ND.

Luella Brekke was born May 31, 1902, near Havana, ND, where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Park Region Academy in Fergus Falls, MN and later attended Valley City State University. She then taught school in North Dakota for six years.

On June 28. 1926, she married Fred G. Aandahl in Forman, ND. They farmed near Litchville, ND until 1944 when her husband was elected governor of North Dakota. He served as governor until 1950, when they moved to Washington, D. C. where he served in the House of Representatives for one term. In 1962 they returned to their farm near Litchville. After her husband's death in 1966, she moved to Fargo. She had been a resident of the nursing home for the past 12 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Ralph) Johnson, Roswell, GA, and Louise (Mrs. Jacque) Stockman, Fargo; a brother, William Brekke, Veblen, SD, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
