A. Roy Aaron, age 91, of Knox, went to be with the Lord at 7 a.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital.
Born May 20, 1923 in Kingsville, he was a son of the late A. Ray and Minta M. Wyant Aaron.
He married Iva “Dot” Himes who preceded him in death on August 26, 2006. He then married Lillian Gross, who also preceded him in death.
Roy was a retired minister. He had also worked for Joy Manufacturing and the railroad.
He attended the Turkey City Church of God, was an avid fisherman, trapper and hunter and loved and enjoyed his family.
Survivors include a son: A. Ray Aaron of Mercer; two daughters: Christine Berringer and her husband, Mark, of Franklin and Becky Sussan and her husband, Rich, of Baltimore, Maryland; seven grandchildren: Brad
Bell, Brenda Bell, Diane Lutz, Barry Bell, Allison Sussan, Elizabeth Sussan and Ricky Sussan and a great grandson, Logan Lutz.
Roy is also survived by four step sons through his second marriage.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson and John and a sister, Hazel.
Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.
A brief committal service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home with the Reverend Korona Say officiating.
A service celebrating Roy’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.
Interment will take place in the Franklin Cemetery.
