Arlene Marietta was born on October 13, 1935 in Brookville Township the daughter of Arthur P. & Marretta (Jensen) Jensen. She and attended District 51 Country School and later graduated from Morgan High School in 1953. She married Werner Aarons on October 1, 1955 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan. The couple lived and farmed side by side for many years. They lived in Fairfax and Bird Island before returning to Sleepy Eye in 1990. Werner preceded her in death in September of 2011. Arlene enjoyed quilting, spoiling her pets, gardening and playing games. She was a member of the Gideon's, Grace Circle, Swedlanda and St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her children, Calvin (Mary) Aarons of Bird Island, Kurt (Karen) Aarons of Nicollet, Timothy "Charlie" (Donna) Aarons of Maple Grove, Verna (Keith) Anderson of Maple Grove, Colette (Steven) Huiras of Springfield, Colleen (Russ) Danielson of Fairfax, 20 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mae Meyer of Springfield and Gloria Jensen-Meyer of Hesperia, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Werner, brother, Roger and sister, Lorraine Potter
