FUNERAL OF MRS. ABBEY

CHERRY CREEK, May 23, — The funeral service for Mrs. Addie Cookingham Abbey who died at her home Monday at 6:30 p.m. was held at the house Thursday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Abbey was 71 years old and passed away after a week's illness. The service was conducted by her pastor the Rev. J. H. Reinert of the Baptist church. The bearers were A. H. Blaisdell, E. H. Pease, I. J. Williams, C. N. Abbey, J. H. Wallaston and A. H. Weed. Interment was in Highland cemetery. Those who attended from away were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, of Silver Creek; Mrs. Ella Garlock, Mrs. G. S. Holland and Mr. and Mrs. Norris Stone of Angola; Mrs. L. E. Adams and Mrs. Richard Johnson, Jamestown; Mr. and Mrs. Mason Penner, Celoron; Mr. and Mrs. David Penner, Emporium, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Killock and Mrs. Warn, Hamlet; Mrs. Lulu Sanderson, Mrs. Alta Dye, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Decker. Balcoms: Mr. and Mrs. Irvln Waters, South Dayton; Mrs. Arthur Black and daughter, Alfreda, Arkwrlght and Grant D. Batterson, Cassadaga. Mrs. Abbey was born In Evans Center but came to Cherry Creek when a child where she spent the rest of her life. Besides her husband the surviving relatives are her son, Floyd H. Abbey; a brother, Frank H. Cookingham; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
