Abe Abbott MANCHESTER--Abe .'Abbott, 75, of 27 South Main St., Manchester, died Thursday in Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua. Mr. Abbott was born in Syria, July 18, 1890, he had lived in Manchester since 1909. In 1913, he married the late Susan Hessney Abbott, who died in 1963. He had been employed on the Lehigh Valley Railroad unti his retirement in 1955. Mr. Abbott was a member of St. Michael's Syrian Orthodox church, Geneva; and the Brotherhood of Railway and Steam- P Clerks.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Hessney of Manchester; and three grandsons, Edward, Thomas and Donald Hessney of Manchester. Friends may call at the Halsted Funeral Home, 19 North Main St., Manchester, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Trisagion prayers for the dead will be said at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Funeral service. Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home will be followed by a service at 10 a.m. in the Manchester Baptist Church. The Rev. Gabriel White of St. Michael's Syrian Orthodox Church in Geneva, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Shortsville.
