Mrs. Alyda Dey Abbott
Norfolk-Mrs. Alyda Dey Abbott, of 3943 Omohondro Ave., widow of Fred C. Abbott and daughter of William S. and Mrs. Mary Ennis Dey, died in a hospital Sunday at 5 a.m.
A native of Norfolk, she formerly lived in Richmond for 27 years. She was a member of Larchmont Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Capt. William G. Abbott, USN, retired; her step mother, Mrs. Mary B. Dey and a sister, Miss Nancy F. White, all of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. George H. Boyd of Larchmont Methodist Chruch. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be at 5937 Glenhaven Crescent.
