Jennifer Leigh Abee of 426 N. Highway 161, a fifth-grader at Clover Middle School, died at the scene after being ejected from a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro driven by her 16-year-old sister, said Lance Cpl. Brian McDougald of the S.C. Highway Patrol. McDougald declined to identify the driver because of her age. Neither she nor her sister were wearing seat belts.
Her parents are James and Gay Chavis Abee. She is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Michelle Gibbie of Gastonia, NC and Tamara Shay Abee of the home; her paternal grandmother Joyce West Wright of Clover, SC.
