I believe Almeda and Reubin had another son, Jarrett Abernathy. He is recorded in the 1870 Federal Census as being 6/12 of age. I haven't located him on any other Census. Franklin Garrett recorded him as being in the Reuben Abernathy Cemetery. This cemetery is described by Mr. Garrett as
"This small family cemetery, with its few unmarked graves, is barely discernable as a cemetery."
"According to a member of the family (interviewed in 1931), the following are some of those buried here." The tiny list includes Jarrett Abernathy. Nothing else is stated about Jarrett.
