Funeral services for Anna Mae Abernethy Starr, a granddaughter of Oregon’s first provisional governor, George Abernethy, will be held Tuesday at 10 A.M. at Riverview chapel with Chaplain John W. Beard officiating.

Mrs. Starr, who died Saturday in a hospital at Everett, Wash., was born December 27, 1869, at what was then Abernethy Heights across the Willamette river from Milwaukie. She was the daughter of William and Sarah Gray Abernethy.

She was married to Ben Wallace Starr, a railroad man, in 1891 and after that date made her home in Monroe, Wash., up to the time of her death. Mr. Starr died several years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Benjamin S. Starr of Fresno, Cal.; George Abernethy Starr of Silverdale, Wash.; six sisters and two brothers.
