Of Naperville, died May 2, 2009, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Mrs. Abruzzo is survived by her loving husband, Peter; and their two beloved sons, Dominic and Vincent; as well as her parents, William and Rose Bussa; brothers David Bussa, William Bussa (Joyce), and Robert Bussa; sisters, Donna Effner (Randy), Sandra Gonzales (Fidel); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Bussa. Barbara was a 1984 graduate of Glenbard East High School and a 1988 graduate of Texas Wesleyan University where she graduated with top honors and was a member of the volleyball team. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her fun loving nature, wonderful sense of style, beauty, compassion, and unconquerable spirit. Thank you to family, friends and neighbors for all their love and support throughout Barb's brave fight.
