Annamarie Achilles, 99, of St. Vincent's Home, formerly of 1632 Spruce, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday (May 12, 2003) in the home.

She was born Nov. 16, 1903, in Quincy, a daughter of John and Anna Eberhardt Moore. She married Ralph W. Achilles on June 24, 1922, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died June 30, 1974.

Mrs. Achilles was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Church of the All Saints Parish.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) Shade and Mrs. Merle (Betty) Nichols, all of Quincy; a daughter-in-law, Marge Achilles of Loraine; 17 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, John and Fred "Fritz" Moore; and two sons, Tony Achilles and George Achilles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. John Catholic Church by the Rev. Robert Jallas. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. John Church of All Saints Parish or the Activities Department of St. Vincent's Home.
