MARY ALICE HATLEY ACKLEN, 90, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007. Mrs. Acklen lived in Memphis and Olive Branch, MS. She was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. Mrs. Acklen was preceded in death by her husbands, William H. Hatley and Edward R. Acklen; a daughter, Sylvia Jeanne Tune, and a brother, Joe Willard Harris. She is survived by two brothers, Spencer Harris and Lacy Ray Harris, both of Olive Branch, MS; and two sisters, Cary Neal Hunt of Little Rock, AR and Lexie May Harris of Pensacola Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend and long-time companion, Ed McCall of Memphis. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue in Memphis. Memorial Park Funeral Home 901-767-8930
