Charles Allen Acklen, age 68 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at his home. He was born October 26, 1943 in Winchester; the son of the late Charles John and Edna Pauline (Rieben) Acklen. He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. Mr. Acklen worked as an electrician and plumber for the Franklin Co. Board of Education. He was a member of the Boulevard Church of Christ. Mr. Acklen was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Schuck. Surviving are sister, Susan Acklen of Plattsburgh, New York, Niece, Tracey Schuck of Detroit, Michigan, and brother-in-law, Thomas Schuck of the Detroit area in Michigan. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN.
