Came to America in 1869. Worked on the railroad; blacksmith. Son of John [ 1793 - 1852 ] and Elizabeth Mace Acocks [ 1803 - 1885 ] who were married on October 30, 1824 at Blockley, Worscestershire, England. George married Betsy Dodd on the 2nd of June, 1850 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.
