State Attorney, J. L. Adair this morning received news of the death of his grandmother, Mrs. Margaret J. Adair, 92 years old, who died last night in her home in Clayton. Death was due to infirmities of advance age. She came to Adams county when she was 21 years old. Her husband died about 40 years ago. She leaves two sons, H.L. Adair of Clayton and J. D. Adair of Carthage and one daughter, Mrs. D. C. Fredericks, of Springfield. She was a member of the Christian church. The Quincy Daily Journal, January 29, 1917, Page: 7
