" SS War Patrol, built by ......was a British steamer of 2.045 tons.
On August 10th, 1917, War Patrol, on passage from Barry with a cargo of coal, was sunk
by a mine from the German submarine UC-69 (Erwin Waßner), 1 mile west of Penmarc'h.
14 persons were lost."
Captain was James Henry Sheriffs
