Anthony Adamic of Maine, at 77, company founder

Anthony M. Adamic of Cushing, Maine, a mechanical contractor, died Oct. 24 in Rockport, Maine, after a brief illness. He was 77.

Mr. Adamic was born in Salamanca, N.Y. He was a longtime Sharon resident and part-time resident of Cushing until he moved there is 1983.

He was the founder of the Mercury Co., a national mechanical contracting company.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Dreon); a son, Stephen of Plainville; two daughters, Catherine Vespucci of Norwood and Mary Jo Burlone of North Attelboro; two sisters, Anna Shandrick of Pasadena, Calif., and Dorothy Ramunno of Edgarsville, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.

A funeral service will be announced by the family.

Arrangements are by the Davis Funeral Home, Thomaston, Maine.
