Elizabeth Mitchell Adams, 85, Lexington, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007. Elizabeth was a retiree of 37 years from General Telephone, a member of Local CWA, and a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Ellen Adams Blakely and husband Scott Blakely of Lexington. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Adams, her mother and father, John Will and Carrie Bell Mitchell, one sister, Josephine Shelton, two brothers, Leslie Mitchell and John Will Mitchell, and a first cousin, Gladys Chapman. Granny was also preceded in death by her dearly beloved grand dog, Rusty Blakely who she loved and cared for many years. She is also survived by loving nieces, Patty Rhodes, Elizabeth Shelton, Anita Harmon and Joyce Williams; nephews, Billy Shelton, Roy Shelton and Brian Mitchell; and a first cousin, Margaret Lacy. Elizabeth will also be missed by her sister-in-law, Mary Helen Mitchell; many other family and co-workers; one very special friend who loved Granny and helped so much with her care, Brenda Ashcraft, and a very special friend and caretaker at Winchester Center, Sharon Weddington. Elizabeth was so loved by the employees of Winchester Center for Health and Rehab in Winchester, KY. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared so much for my mom and loved and took such wonderful care of her.
