A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Willamette National Cemetery for Charles Raymond Adams, who died June 18 at age 88.

Charles Raymond Adams was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Weiser, Idaho. He served in the Army during World War II in the Philippines and was awarded three Purple Hearts. He was a driver for Santry Trucking and moved to Woodburn in 1979. In 1940, he married Neoma Fertig.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Donna Robitsch, Lana Millington and Candace Wendel; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
