Ethel Mae Adams, age 88, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs and recently of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully at the Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas surrounded by her loving family. She was a homemaker, Army wife, and in her later years worked in various service fields and retired from Pikes Peak Community College.Ethel Mae Hopkins was born on January 25, 1925 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Jess Hopkins and Frances Everheart. She attended elementary school at Main Street Junior High at 2nd District and High School at Howard in Chattanooga. She married Fred L. A. Adams, Sr. on September 10, 1940 in Chattanooga.
