Charles Linwood Adams Jr. 'Lin' Mr. Adams, 86, died on July 24th, 2009. He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Mahlon, and a son Scott, also numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Queen City Optimist Club for 42 years, and served as President in 1975-76. This led to being elected Governor of the Middle North Carolina District; during that period seven new clubs were formed. Lin spent 38 years working for J.P. Stevens & Co. Inc., retiring as Manager of Forms Control. Lin was a member of The Church of The Holy Comforter for over 40 years. He served two terms as Junior Warden. Funeral services will be held at The Church Of The Holy Comforter on Monday at 3 P.M.
