Aurea M. Adams, 90, of Manchester NH, died December 17, 2010, at Ridgewood Center in Bedford NH following a brief illness. She was born in Pembroke NH on October 27, 1920, the daughter of Adelard and Laura (Levasseur) Hardy, and was a lifelong resident of this area. She resided in Londonderry for many years and was a parishioner and member of St. Jude Parish Guild. In 1956 she moved to Manchester and held membership in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Ladies Guild and choir. She also volunteered at the VA Hospital and Elliot Hospital. She belonged to the singing group the Sweet Adelines, and was a Caregivers Coordinator. Aurea enjoyed arts and crafts, especially knitting, sewing, and crocheting

She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Rivet in 1946; second husband Herman M. Adams in 1983; brother Ernest Hardy; and sister Theresa Labonte.

Mrs. Adams' family members include her daughters Mrs. James (Elaine) Sause of Bel Air MD and Enfield NH, Dorothy Hendricks of Laconia NH, and Mrs. Roland (Jacqueline) Nalette of Manchester; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Herve Hardy of Suncook NH; sisters Estelle Laroche of Suncook and Beatrice Cate of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the J. N. Boufford & Suns Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
