Deceased Name: Adams , Ann Bowden

Adams Adams, Ann Bowden, of Ft. Lauderdale (Sea Ranch Lakes) passed away on January 11, 2009 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Quincy Adams and much loved niece, Rebel Bowden. She is survived by her brother William C. Bowden; her sister-in-law Mary Bowden and Nephews, William and Brent Bowden and many loving friends. Ann was born in Madison, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. She was a pioneer in the broadcasting industry as the first woman talk show host on WKOL in Seattle. She went on to become one of the first women reports and featured columnist for the Chicago American Newspaper. Living in Ft. Lauderdale for over 30 years, Ann has helped so many in her quiet philanthropic ways. She will be greatly missed and lives on in our hearts. Mrs. Adams will be interred with her husband, John, at Arlington National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on January 24th at 2:30 PM at Baird-Case Funeral Home, 4343 N. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kids in Distress, 819 NE 26th St., Wilton Manors, FL 33305.
