Brownsville - Lucile Alzada Adams Acuff, age 93, passed away in her home in Brownsville, Tennessee, Monday, June 29, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents: Roscoe Rene Adams and Georgia Beatrice Fletcher Adams; her husband: Harvey Melvin Acuff; and a daughter: Dorothy Marie Acuff Gardner. Mrs. Acuff was a lifelong Methodist with memberships at Stanton United Methodist Church and Springhill United Methodist Church and a devoted member of the Wesleyan Service Guild. Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009, Graveside at Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Herb Adams officiating. Mrs. Acuff is survived by two daughters: Melba Elizabeth Acuff Cox and Joy Adair Acuff Trainer, both of Brownsville; one brother: George F. Adams, Somerville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Springhill United Methodist Church.
