PIONEER, DIES
Funeral services for Abel Adams, 90, a San Diego county resident for 67 years, whose son, Lt. John Harold Adams, USN, was formerly football coach at San Diego High School, will be conducted tomorrow morning at 11 in the Johnson-Saum mortuary with the Rev. Frederick J. Stevens officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenwood Mausoleum. He died Sunday in his home at 1236 Lincoln Ave. He was a native of Burretts Rapids, Canada.
Mr. Adams and his wife, the former Caroline Killebrew, of San Diego, whom he married in 1884 celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Jan 31. He was a member of the Pioneer society, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the True Vow Keepers' Club. He was in the harness business in El Cajon for 35 years.
Mr. Adams also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Simpson, of San Diego, and Mrs. Hazel D. Wilson, of San Gabriel; and a son, Hubert A. Adams of El Cajon.
