Miss Abbie Irene Adams, daughter of Frank E. Adams, a rancher residing west of Grand Junction, passed away Sunday morning about 6 o'clock at the home of P. A. Rice, 106 Rood avenue, where she has made her home recently. Death resulted from pneumonia with which the young lady was stricken a few days ago. The young lady was twenty-one years of age. The funeral service was conducted in private from the Martin funeral parlors this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Christian Science service was used, burial taking place later in Orchard Mesa cemetery. The deceased is survived by her father and mother, three[sic] brothers, Waldo, Earl, Byran[sic] and Frank Adams Jr., and one sister, Miss Eva. She had been attending school in Grand Junction and making this city her home and it was while here that she was stricken with the disease that resulted in death.
