Albert Ralph Adamson of Jonesboro, GA, passed away Sunday,
February 15, 2009. Ralph was born in Mountain View, GA on April 19, 1915 to parents James Augustus Adamson and Ethel Reeves Adamson. He lived the majority of his life in Clayton County working with his brothers on the James A. Adamson and Son's Dairy Farm. He was an active member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he was ordained a deacon in 1948. In later years, he was very active in The Rock Baptist Church, Rex, GA. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alton, brother-in-law Donal Duffey, and grandson, Arthur Bond. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Marilyn McClendon Adamson; son, Albert Ralph Adamson, Jr. (Laurette) of Barnesville; daughter, Miriam Adamson McClendon of Nashville; grandchildren, Jenny Katherine Tidwell (Paul) of Huntsville, Albert Ralph Adamson III (Kelly) of Barnesville and Mary Margaret May (Curry) of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Julian Curry May III, McClendon Reeves May, Howard Hickman Tidwell, and Graham Reeves Adamson; brothers, Randolph Adamson (Betty) Harold Adamson (Marty); sisters, Mildred Hoover (Wallace), Ruth Duffey; nieces and nephews.
