SHREVEPORT, LA -- Graveside services for Christine Toler Adcock, 83, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, December 28,1998 at Forest Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Jon Stubblefield, pastor of First Baptist Church of Shreveport.
Mrs. Adcock, a homemaker, passed away Thursday December 24, 1998 in Shreveport, LA after a brief illness. She was a native of Bayou Jacques, LA. Mrs. Adcock and her husband, George P. Adcock, founded the Geo. Adcock Dist. Co. of Shreveport. She was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and M.E. Dodd College. She was also a member of First Baptist Church and the Adelaide Sunday School Class of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Adcock studied and taught china painting for many years. During this time she was a teacher, officer, and member of many china painting organizations and clubs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Adcock, and her parents, W.K. and Stella Morrow Toler. Mrs. Adcock is survived by her children, Barbara Caughran of AL, Anita
Calkins of IA, Kathy Anderson and Stephen Adcock of TX, her brother, Kent E. Toler of Wichita Falls, TX, several grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are her friends in the china painting organizations.
