Andrew Adcock Succumbs Here

Andrew Carl Adcock, 62-year-old resident of 1432 Summers, died at 7 p.m. Saturday at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Adcock was born in Bright Star, Ark., and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 10 years. He moved here from Gilliam. He was a member of the Lowe-McFarlane post of the American Legion and a member of Caddo Heights Baptist church.

Funeral arrangements are in complete at the Rose-Neath funeral home here.

Mr. Adcock is survived by his widow, Mrs. A. D. Adcock of Shreveport; two sons, Dannie Ray Adcock of Shreveport, and M/Sgt. James A. Adcock stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base here; five daughters, Mrs. L. D. Austin of Shreveport, Mrs. Ray M. Thompson of Shreveport, Miss Betty Adcock of Shreveport, Miss Sandra Janet Adcock of Shreveport and Mrs. Otis C. Turner of Newfoundland; three brothers, Obey Adcock, Clarence Adcock and Arthur Adcock, all of Mira; one sister, Mrs. Malcolm Williams of Mira, and nine grandchildren.

Rites Incomplete for A. C. Adcock

Funeral services are incomplete for Andrew Carl Adcock, 62, of 1432 Summers, who died here Saturday night at his residence.

Time of the services, which will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral home, has not yet been set. Officiating, however, will be the Rev. E. P. Smith, pastor of Caddo Heights Baptist church, and the chaplain of the Lowe-McFarlane American Legion post.

Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, and active pallbearers will be members of the Lowe-McFarlane post. Honorary pallbearers will be officers of the local carpenters union, personnel of Andress Motor company, Dr. T. B. Tooke and H. H. Howell.

Mr. Adcock, who died after a long illness, was a native of Bright Star, Ark., and had been a resident of Shreveport for 10 years. He was a member of the Lowe-McFarlane post and of the Caddo Heights Baptist church.
