Billy James Adcock

Billy James Adcock (Bill), 82 years old, is in Heaven after a courageous two year battle with heart disease.

Bill was born on January 6, 1929 in El Dorado, AR and retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad as an conductor, and was a proud veteran of the US Navy.

Preceeded in death by his parents, Raby and Earl Adcock; brothers, Donald Adcock and Carl Adcock. Surviving him are his wife, Wynona Lynn Adcock; daughter, Debbie Herring; stepchildren, Judy and Sam Stubblefield, Steve and Lori Bates, Eddie and Sheron Allen, Jerrie and Mike Thornton, and Robert and Peggy Allen; siblings, Jo Lane Hardin, Marion and Tom Brackman, and Jeanette Head; grandchildren, John Christopher and Jimmy Baudoin, Stacey Stubblefield and Stephen Failey, Jeff Allen, Gina Thornton and Amy Mattraw, Summer Allen, Robert Allen II and April Allen, Shelby and Ashley Allen, Ester and Jake Cox, Michael Allen, Zanetta and Michael Sicilliano, Chanda and Chris Babbit; and 11 great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home, 3903 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport on January 5, 2012 between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Boone Funeral Home on January 6, 2012 at 12:30 with graveside service at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Lee Allen and Michael Schmidt, both of Living Word Chapel in Oil City, LA.
