He was born October 1, 1916, a son of the late William Henry Adcock and Bertie Ragland Adcock.
He was a member and past deacon of Spring Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian McCormick Adcock; two sons: Glenn Lee Adcock, Roanoke; and William Elmore Adcock and wife, Kathy of Charlottesville; a sister, Louise Shaw, Salem.
Funeral services will be hel at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral CHapel with Rev. Philip Mace and Rev. Ron Smals officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
