Aleida Robinson Adcox, 78, died July 2, 1999 in Amarillo, Texas.
Aleida was born in Guymon to one of the original pioneering families of the Oklahoma Panhandle. She graduated from Guymon High School in 1939 and received her Bachelor's of Business Education degree from Panhandle A & M in 1953. Aleida was a member of the Delta Pi Epsilon, National Honorary Graduate Fraternity, Beta chapter Number 304. She married Grady Leonard Adcox in 1957 at Clayton, New Mexico . He passed away in 1968. She taught school in Oklahoma and Texas for over twenty years, retiring in 1988. She was an active member of the Comanche Trail Church of Christ, Amarillo Senior Citizen's Association, AARP, and a life-time member of the Panhandle A&M Alumni and Scholarship Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Leloy Albright of Amarillo, a step-daughter, Carol David of Dumas; stepson, Greg Adcox of Amarillo, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
The family suggests memorials to Amarillo College Scholarship Fund or to the High Plains Children's Home
Services were held at 11 a.m July 6 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Mr. Jerry Klein officiating. Interment followed at Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.
