CASTLEWOOD, Va. Agnes Woods Addington, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. She was born in Russell County, Va., daughter of the late Charlie and Nettie Salyers Woods. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ima Jean Trumbley and Annie L. Woods; and four brothers, Howard Woods, Bobbie Woods, Bill Woods and Donald Woods. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Castlewood. She is survived by her husband, Emmett Addington; four sons, Emmett M. Addington Jr. and wife, Jeanette, of Rosedale, Va., Ronald Joe Addington and wife, Karen, of Castlewood, Terry Leon Addington and wife, Barbara, of Castlewood, and Mark Allen Addington and wife, Jena, of Castlewood; two sisters, Edna Smith and Louise Evans, both of Castlewood; nine grandchildren, Dave Addington, Janet Rasnake, Jennifer Altizer, Ashley Worley, Zachary Addington, Kelsey Addington, Dalton Addington, Ethan Addington and Evan Addington; 11 great-grandchildren, Billy Addington, Brooke Addington, Kaylee Frank, Payton Frank, Kyle Rasnake, Austin Rasnake, Damian Altizer, Dylan Clark, Frank Worley, Eliza Worley and Eli Addington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Agnes Woods Addington will be conducted at 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with the Rev. Leonard Ferguson and Brother Rick Gibson officiating. Committal services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 1:30 p.m., Sunday. Pallbearers will be Dave Addington, Zachary Addington, Ethan Addington, Evan Addington, Dalton Addington, Kyle Rasnake, Austin Rasnake and Dylan Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Damian Altizer and Billy Addington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 25, 2012, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
