Retired LTC Anthony "Tony" Addonizio, 65 of San Antonio, TX passed away Tuesday October 14, 2008 at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. EST Tuesday at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, AL according to Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home.
LTC Addonizio was born March 15, 1943 in Staten Island , NY and was the son of the late Angelo J. Addonizio and Rosalie Messina Addonizio. He was retired from the United States Army with 22 years of service. LTC Addonizio was dedicated to his country and family. He loved reading, building computers, visiting family, and playing golf. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Glass Addonizio of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Robert Addonizio and his wife Marilene of Miami, FL; mother in law, Joyce Fewell Costello of Phenix City, AL; a brother in law and sister in law, David Costello and his wife Melissa of Smiths Station, AL and Teresa Schlorf and her husband Glenn of Phenix City, AL; aunts, Josephine Marotta of Red Bank, NJ and Susie Giordano of Woodbridge, NJ; and many other extended loving family members and many, many friends.
