Florence was born at her home in Newark and had resided in Wall Township for many years. She was a member of the Pride of Wall Seniors and the Wall Helps Its People (WHIP). Florence was a devout Christian and a Communicant of St. Catharine’s and St. Margaret’s Parish, Spring Lake.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert P. Dougherty Aaronson in September 2004, her parents Ralph and Mary Addonizio, her 3 brothers, former Wall Township Mayor Frank P. Addonizio, Prisco Addonizio and Ralph Addonizio, and her sister Rozlyn Mazarella.
Florence is survived by her beloved children and their spouses, Karen and husband Dr. Preston Deutsch of Manalapan, Sharon and husband Anthony Crea of Myrtle Beach, SC , her sister Antoinette “Dolly” Verdi of Wall Twp., her 2 grandchildren Jason Deutsch and wife Amanda and Lauren Scalafani, and her great granddaughter Gabriella Scalfani.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Catharine’s Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Burial will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
