On April 22, 2014, heaven gained another beautiful angel, when Betty Lou Adkins passed away at Dream Home Assisted Living at the age of 85.

Betty was born August 1, 1928 to Tom and Desmond Huffman. She retired from Rose City Cafeterias, where she worked for years as a bookkeeper.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Archie Basil Adkins as well as her youngest daughter, Susie Adkins-Hall. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Curtis Huffman, Gene Huffman, Ed Huffman, Harold Huffman as well as sister Eloise Howard.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Glaspell and her husband Jack of Hurricane, previously of Dunbar. Betty is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John Glaspell of Dunbar, WV; AJ Hall and his wife Summer of Beckley WV; Stacy Bradley and her husband Travis of St. Albans, WV; and Kasie Grose and her husband Mathew of Charleston, WV. She also had a number of very special grandchildren; Ty Glaspell, Hattie Hall, Sophia Hall, Blake Bradley, Hagen Hall, Mahkai Grose, and Shyloh Grose. Surviving siblings are sisters Joy Eggers of Lucasville, OH; Virginia Clark and her husband Corvan of Portsmouth, OH; and Betty Jean Clark and her husband Irvin of Foster, WV along with brothers Charles Huffman and his wife Bonnie of Foster, WV; and Gary Messer and his wife Delores of Julian, WV.

The funeral services will be held at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at noon. Burial to immediately follow at Danville Memorial Park.
