Betty Ann (Agee) Ackerman
Betty Ann (Agee) Ackerman, age 74, died, after an extended battle with lung cancer, October 24, 2015, at the house of her caretaker in Bradenton, Florida. She was born in Pensacola, Florida and graduated from Pensacola High School. Post high school, attended Pensacola Business School and had a 25 year career as an administrative assistant. She has resided in Bradenton since 1986, and attended the United Congregational Church of Christ. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Warren J. Ackerman, and is survived by her grandson, Sean Wilson. She is also survived by the 5 Ackerman step children, Steve, Janet, Ruth, Paul, Mary L., and 8 step-grandchildren.Memorial contributions can be sent to Tidewell Hospice house of Bradenton, FL who lovingly helped care for her for the last year and a half as her health declined. Betty requested no formal memorial service, but there will be a private memorial spreading of her ashes in the Gulf of Mexico at a later date to be determined. Toale Brothers Funeral Home of Bradenton is handling the cremation. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
