Maureen Agerholm found peace April 29, 2015 at the age of 76.

Maureen entered the world November 15, 1938 in the midst of WWII in Farnsworth, England. She was born to the late Beatrice and Lawrence Roberts. She grew to adulthood in Bolton, Lancashire England.

She precedes her husband Robert William Agerholm; her sister Iris Stephens; and her beloved son Thomas Dee Miller in everlasting life.

Maureen came to America on Queen Mary in 1954. She danced her way across the Atlantic Ocean. She was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine for 30 years. She was employed as a Ward Clerk, EKG Technician, and Phlebotomist.

Maureen was blessed with four children whom she adored. The late Thomas Dee Miller, (Tina) of Racine, Danny Paul Miller, (Cheryl) of Mesa, AZ, Her daughter Beatrice Maureen Stich (Rick Bender) of Kenosha, and Peter Harold Agerholm (Jennifer) of Racine.

Maureen became a grandmother at a very young age which she, unknowingly, would later cherish the title. She adored each and every one of them. Tommy Dee Miller, Mitchell Robert Miller, Ryan Jacob Miller, Julie Anne Miller, Jeffery Jonathon Miller, Misty Maureen Schoephoerster (Ephraim), Mitchell Paul Stich (affectionately she called Paulie Wog), Kyle Joseph Stich (Jessica), Samantha Charlotte Agerholm, and Abigail Rose Agerholm; special great granddaughter Avery Elise Stich.

Maureen was a hands on grandma. She was very energetic she would wear the kids out. She would juggle oranges, do cartwheels, tap dance, throw them up in the air, one of her favorite things was to walk like Frankenstein with her arms out and shout, “Slowly he turned step by step“ she would have all the kids screaming. Then she would have to be introduced as she tapped danced her way out of the pantry.

She was close to all her nieces and nephews: Jerome Miller “ her little brother”, Peter Miller, Lori “lollipop” Barth, Diane and her special friend Dave Fiebig, special nephew John Miller, Iris and her “boyfriend” Jim Speiker, and Fred and Tracey Stephens.

Maureen won many medals for swimming; she was a member of the “Ditsy Dots”, a tap dance and toe dance group; and she loved to volunteer at her church. She loved to frequent her favorite family bar, Demarks. Her sister and her best friend, Lorraine, loved to dance the polkas, waltz’s, and forties favorites. On occasion you could hear them arguing about who was going to lead.

Maureen loved a good time and a party. She was a very decent prideful person. She was very kind to all who knew her, and she always dressed very smartly. She was an extremely clean housekeeper. She actually enjoyed cleaning ovens, floors, and she was the best ironer.

Her life was taken early from her with her Alzheimer’s disease. We would like to personally thank the kind people at Timber Oaks and Oak Ridge Care Center. Special thanks to Nurse Kim, Angie, and Ann.

We all know Maureen is dancing tonight. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Nobody like Maureen.

Complete services will be held graveside in West Lawn Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 with Pastor Jeffrey Mortenson officiating. Please meet inside the 90th street entrance at 10:45.
