Peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Bella Senior Care Residence, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of William Agnew (1998). Mother of Karen Flowers (Patrick), Sheila Welsh (Tom Carr), John Agnew (Sharon), Michael Agnew (Pauline) and David Agnew (Lisa Hoffmann). Loving sister of Ray Matthews (late Joyce) and the late Harold Matthews (late Florence). Fondly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ruth was very involved with St. Davids United Church where she was a member of the choir and organist. She volunteered for the Coronation Centre and the Greater Niagara General Hospital for many years. Also a member of Willodell Golf Club, and an avid bowler.

The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated at St. Davids-Queenston United Church, 1453 York Rd. on Saturday, Jan 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Donations to either the Greater Niagara General Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Brought to you by Morse & Son Funeral Home
