Last week's Tribune announced the death at Philadelphia of Lieutenant Frank Aide of the Marines. Heart disease is the given cause of his death.
The body arrived here Friday and rested at the home of his brother John, form where a military funeral took place Saturday morning. Grand Army veterans returned soldier boys and the local band served as honorary escorts.
Services were held at St. Paul's church, the pastor Rev. L.P. O'Reilly, assisted by Rev. Morris of Kendall, officiated.
Lieutenant Aide was born in Mineral Point about 36 years ago and was the youngest son of James and Mary Aide. He was a graduate of Mineral Point High School, then taught school and studied law. about nine years ago he enlisted in the marines and experienced active service overseas during the late great war.
He leaves to mourn his taking off seven brothers: Pierie, John, James, Joseph, Thomas and William. The flag-covered casket was carried to rest in St. Paul's cemetery.
