John W. Aitken, 47, Irma, died Monday, May 17, 1999, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. John was employed as a youth counselor at Lincoln Hills School.
Survivors include one daughter, Acacia Aitken, Irma; three sons, Luke Aitken, Benjamin Aitken, and Caleb Aitken, all of Irma; and his parents, William and Winnefred Aitken, Merrill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church, Irma. Burial will be in Chat Cemetery, town of Birch. Visitation; will be from 4 p.m, to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
