Barbara Willard Aitken
5/1/1924 - 2/6/2006

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away, although we couldn't bear to lose you, we could not ask you to stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, that He only takes the best. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Bommie) and friend, Barbara Willard Aitken passed away at home on February 6, 2006 on the ranch she loved.

Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter Judith McCartney. Barbara had six loving granddaughters who thought the world of her, and five great grandchildren.

Barbara worked side by side with her husband and sons raising turkeys and running Aitken Farms. Barbara and Ralph also spent many years traveling and seeing the world. She was a breast cancer survivor and spent many years volunteering in the Reach to Recovery Program. Barbara's loving smile, positive attitude and giving spirit will be greatly missed. "Bommie - you added something special to all of our lives and we love you for it."

In lieu of flowers, Barbara would want donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice. Memorial services are being made by the family.
