Claude E. Alain, age 78, of New Milford, beloved husband of Greta Simone Alain, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in Danbury Hospital. Born in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada on June 8, 1933, he was a son of the late Alexander and Mary Jane Hottotte Alain and a U. S. Army veteran. Mr. Alain was a retired employee of Nash Engineering. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed bowling and ballroom dancing. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Louise Modica Alain, a brother, Paul Alain Sr. and a sister, Muriel Paternoster. In addition to his wife Greta, survivors include two sons, Glen Alain and his wife Debbie of Shelton and Gary Simone of Danbury, a daughter, Beverly Simone of Danbury, two sisters, Claire Tolmie and Louise Battaglia, both of Woodbury, four grandchildren, Danielle Williams and her companion Joshua Doyens, Anthony, Edward and David Simone, two great grandchildren, Noah and Emily as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 8 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.
