Gloria Ochoa Alcazar
...of Galveston passed peacefully in her home on May 28, 2011. She was born April 7, 1944 to parents Lupe and Andrew Ochoa of Wharton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Ochoa.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard (Rick) Alcazar Sr.; brother Andrew Ochoa and wife Lupe, Albert; sister Mary Ann Ochoa; children Tina Robins and husband Paul; Richard Alcazar Jr. and wife Betsy all from Galveston; grandchildren Mia Alcazar and David Zamora, Gregg Alcazar, Brianna Alcazar and Kayla Salinas; great grandchildren Kaya and Kaylee Zamora along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife and mother with a love of life and family and huge supporter of her children's school and extra curricular activities. Gloria was a loyal employee of GISD at Ball High School as a cashier for 10 years. She enjoyed attending The Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio and in return spent most of their weekends at local and far away Tejano dances where they danced into the early morning hours. Gloria was her husband's greatest love and ‘one of a kind' and will be greatly missed by all.

In celebration of her life, a Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

The family would like to than Kathy, Julie and the rest of the Hospice Team for their love and support.
