"E. L. Alderson was called to Oakland last Sunday by the critical illness of his sister Annie, whose health had been failing for the past two years, and left by auto at once. She passed away Tuesday and the remains were cremated Thursday. Miss Alderson was a former well known school teacher in this county and afterward held a responsible position with the Oakland schools. She was a member of the Fallen Leaf Chapter O.E. S. of this city, and her funeral was conducted according to the rites of that order. She was born at Alpha, Nevada County and is survived by two brothers, Richard of Sacramento and Edmund of Placerville and one sister, Mable B. L. Alderson of Oakland. She was educated and refined and had many warm friends here and elsewhere to regret her loss. During her illness shewas patient and cheerful to the end."
