Mason P. Aldrich, 80, of Glenview and formerly of Winnetka, died April 30 in Lutheran General Hospital.
Mr. Aldrich was born on Aug. 10, 1922 in Evanston, and earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in the South Pacific. After teaching for eight years in Evanston, Mr. Aldrich was principal of West Elementary School in Des Plaines for 37 years.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 17, at Glenview Community Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 200 N. Michigan Ave., No. 501, Chicago IL 60601 or Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St., Glenview IL 60025.
