Charles E. Aldrich, 57 years of age and a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Aldrich, 1014 East Fourth street, died at 11:30 o'clock, Saturday morning, following an illness of several months. The deceased, who will be remembered as a former fireman for the Union Pacific railroad here, was born in Missouri Sept. 15, 1877, coming to Nebraska with his parents as a young man. He had been in failing health for several years as the result of injuries in a railroad accident in Wyoming, which left him crippled.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Aldrich; a brother, Sherman Aldrich, also of this city; five sisters, Mrs. F. W. McCutchan, Mrs. L. A. Cates and Mrs. George Rasmussen, all of this city, and Mrs. Fred Tebo, of Baldwin Park, Cal., and Mrs. Grover C. Rasar, at Taylorville, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Tebo and Mr. and Mrs. Rasar, members of the family have been advised, (and) will come to Grand Island for the funeral. Rites, the time to be announced later, will be held at the O'Loughlin-Livingston funeral home, with burial in Grand Island cemetery.
